“We’re a growing church with an opportunity to restart a struggling congregation.”
Declining churches in your community can either be defined by a funeral or by a rebirth.
We’re convinced that a great challenge for this generation of church leaders is to breath life into historic congregations through the redemptive model of a Restart. By honoring the past and forging a renewed future we redeem the prayers, faith and service of a church that has served a community for decades. MultipliCity believes in equipping churches to be Restarters.
Restart Principles:
If you’ve never gone through the process of a Restart, it can seem daunting and full of pitfalls. MultipliCity has a team of experienced pastors who employ 3 guiding principles for Restarts. We help churches and church planters put these principles into practice for a healthy, God-honoring Restart.
Embrace & honor the history
In every Restart opportunity there is a history to honor and embrace. We believe that every Restart begins with owning the history and victories of past generations. MultipliCity offers tested ways of honoring a congregation’s history through the process of a Restart.
Navigate change with grace
Change is inevitable in a Restart. We believe that a Restarting church or church planter must be unafraid to give clear leadership through the change process. Leading a Restart is a challenging and important role. MultipliCity gives experienced guidance that will help you avoid land mines is you lead older members and younger Restart teammates.
Forge a renewed future
A Restart is an opportunity to present the local church to the community with a reinvigorated identity. But, you only have one chance to make a fresh start. MultipliCity offers valuable tools and practices that will help you start a renewed future without the pain of a false start.
We’ve found that the best environment for getting oriented to the Restart process is a Restart Intensive.
Restart Intensives are small training environments hosted by New Life Community Church in Chicago. Limited to 25 participants and designed for 2-3 members of a leadership team, the Restart Intensive provides tested Restart training along with a firsthand look at how New Life has navigated 7 Restarts in the last 10 years.
